Apartment at Breach Candy
Located in a quiet bylane in Breach Candy, this two-level apartment spread over the ground and first floor of an old residential building was redesigned for a more minimalist and contemporary look. Throughout the apartment, the material and colour palette were delibertalely kept to a minimum: white chevron-pattern marble tiles for the floor, white paint for the walls (barring one dark grey accent wall), and a combination of wood, steel and copper for the furniture and fittings.
Rather than stick to one particular style, these materials and elements were juxtaposed next to one another to give an overall eclectic feel to the space that allows one to change and add other additions over time. The home is therefore imagined not as a designed product to be delivered, but one that acts as the foundation on which layers of personal tastes and collections are free to express themselves.
